Atlohsa’s Justice program has partnered with Indigenous
lawyer, Nicole Hill-Dolson to offer a FREE legal clinic EVERY TUESDAY from
1pm-4pm. Nicole is able to work with community members on ANY legal questions
Nicole has helped community members with CRIMINAL law which includes domestic violence charges, restraining orders, etc. She also specializes in ABORIGINAL law which includes every area of law that relates to the Indian Act such as divorces that happen on reserve, dividing estates on reserve land, immigration for Indigenous folks with status, and more.
Drop-in basis with snacks available. Childcare and bus tickets available for clients upon request.
Let’s work hard to make sure this is well-known in the community as cuts to Legal services offered by the province are happening daily and we will soon find community members with even less access to these services!
Please forward the following message to all of your agency contacts.
I will be presenting the attached message to the Community and Protective Services Committee on Monday, June 17th (not before 12:05pm). This message urges that the CAPS committee presents a motion to City Council for immediate action regarding the homeless situation that we are presently facing in London. If your organization agrees with this message, please email me (email@example.com) so that your organization’s name can be added to the list of organizations who agree that immediate action is necessary. I believe it is essential that we take a strong message forward, collectively. This is not a complicated message. It points no fingers. It asks only for action. Thank you for reading and, where possible, adding your name to the organizations who see the need for immediate action to help people find shelter and housing.
